Why Bangkok prices vary so much

  • Big chains rarely advertise a walk-in price. Some sell a day pass at the desk, others offer a free trial instead. Ask before you assume you can't get in.
  • Boutique studios (pilates, yoga, HIIT) charge per class. A single class often costs more than a day at a full gym, and class packs bring the price down.
  • Independent neighbourhood gyms are the best value: free weights, honest prices and no contract.
  • Hotel and condo gyms are usually for guests and residents only, so we don't list them.

How to pay less on a short stay

  1. Ask for a weekly pass. Many gyms sell one without advertising it.
  2. Compare with the monthly price. From about ten visits, a month is often cheaper.
  3. Use the first-visit offer. Studios often discount the first class or the first week.
  4. Train near your BTS or MRT stop. Bangkok traffic makes a cheap gym across town an expensive choice.
