"What does a gym cost in Thailand?" has no single answer: a fan-cooled local gym and an international chain can differ by a factor of ten. What we can do is show you real numbers. Every figure below is calculated from the prices in our listings and updates on its own.
Pattaya
- Gyms listed
- 75
- Day pass range
- ฿60 – ฿800
- Typical day pass
- ฿250
- Typical month
- ฿1,500
Pattaya is the best-value city of the three for a walk-in visitor. Competition is fierce, most gyms sell day passes, and local bodybuilding gyms keep prices low.
Bangkok
- Gyms listed
- 1,076
- Day pass range
- ฿140 – ฿1,900
- Typical day pass
- ฿600
- Typical month
- ฿3,000
Bangkok has the widest range. Chains and boutique studios push the top end up, while neighbourhood gyms stay cheap. Where you live matters more than anywhere else: a gym near your BTS or MRT stop is worth a higher price.
Phuket
- Gyms listed
- 249
- Day pass range
- ฿150 – ฿2,000
- Typical day pass
- ฿500
- Typical month
- ฿5,000
Phuket prices follow the tourist seasons, and many camps sell weekly or monthly training packages rather than simple memberships. Always ask for the training-only price if you already have a room.
What decides the price
- Air-conditioning. The clearest dividing line. Fan-cooled gyms are far cheaper.
- Chain or independent. Chains price for yearly contracts; independents are friendlier to short stays.
- Location. Beach roads and central business districts cost more than a soi ten minutes away.
- Type of training. Muay Thai, pilates and CrossFit are priced per class or per week, and cost more than open gym access.
How to read our prices
A price with a green Confirmed mark was confirmed by the gym itself. Other prices come from public sources such as the gym's website, with the source and check date shown on the gym's page. If a gym shows "Price not listed", nobody has published it yet: call ahead.
